The holidays are one of the most popular times of the year to propose  . . . and fittingly so. Holiday lights and roaring fires make for the perfect romantic setting sure to bring magic to any couple's lives. If you are thinking of proposing this Christmas, here is a step-by-step guide to one of our favorite holiday proposal ideas.

The Destination
Christmas morning beneath the Christmas tree, let her open all of her presents as you normally would. She won't be expecting a ring since she's already opened all of the presents. This is where the surprise comes in.

The Proposal
Once she asks you to open your gifts, sit the gift down without opening it and say . . .
"The only gift I want won't fit inside this box."

Then, pull the ring from your pocket and say . . .

"The greatest gift I could ever hope to receive . . . is you. Be my wife . . . that's all I want for Christmas . . . and next Christmas . . . and every Christmas of my life - Just you, under my tree, in my arms and by my side.
