Winning over Your Partner's Parents

One of the most trying aspects of dating can be winning over your partner's parents. However, this isn't difficult if you start out on the right foot. Whether you will be meeting your partner's parents for the first time or you are thinking of popping the question, here are a few helpful hints for getting on even the fussiest of parent's good sides.

• If you will be visiting her parent's home, bring flowers for her mother. Pick something sweet and fresh like a pretty springtime arrangement   of daisies. Daisies represent innocence, purity and gentleness between the giver and the receiver.

• Impress dad by doing a little research. Find out from your mate what his favorite sports team is and then, surprise him with tickets to a   home game.

• Does your partner have a mom that is crazy about her little miniature poodle? Bring a chew toy or new sweater for Fido. It's sure to make  her day!

• Avoid PDA's. Remember, no matter how much a parent likes you, it's inappropriate to give your mate more than a peck on the cheek   during the first meeting. This shows that you are respectful of both her and her parents.
