OMG it snowed in Houston! Actually you would think this would be shocking but it's happened two years in a row now. This year we knew it was coming so we had a chance to really get out it in and make some snow angels...jj on the snow angels. There's definitely not enough for that although with all this crazy weather happening...that might be something we can look forward to in the future.
The snow really brought out the little girl in me and I was giddy all day along and so was Shawn. It was almost better than driving by a house decorated in all blue led lights (I have a real fetish for those) at night but not quite. We couldn't stop taking pictures and video and driving around to see what everyone was up to! My sister even sent me a picture on my iPhone of a 3' snowman she was able to put together topped off with a fireman's hat from my brother.
Later that night I was watching the weather channel (yep that's what I watch in my spare time) and apparently snow in Houston is such a monumental event that it requires weather guys in Houston filming around town and subsequently reporting on the weather channel for all to see.
If you can believe it, we even had sledding down the hills (the hills you can actually find in Houston because it's flat as hell here) although they didn't make it down too smoothly from what I could see. I forgot to check the skate park...that might have made for some good sledding if you didn't break your neck first.
Well maybe it's time to start thinking about investing in snow mobiles around here. I guess I'll give it a few years and hopefully I won't miss the boat on that idea.
So to sum it up...thank you for the snow...it really made my year and don't forget to put us on your schedule for next year...Happy Holidays!
