Halloween Fun for Grown Ups

Halloween has always been a holiday that kids have looked forward to, but there is plenty of Halloween Fun to be had for adults, too. In fact, Halloween parties and events are a regular annual event for many couples—even those without children! If you’re looking for ways to let loose this year with someone special, I’ve got some great ideas to make your holiday spooktacular:
 

• Host a party with a theme of famous couples from history. They can range from the classical (Antony and Cleopatra, Napoleon and Josephine) to the modern (Britney and K-Fed, Clint Black and Lisa Hartman) to fictional and far out (Superman and Lois Lane, Fred and Wilma Flintstone).
• Stay in for a romantic celebration. Rent classics like Dracula, Frankenstein and The Omen. Find yourself some sexy lingerie or erotic costumes and have your own private costume party. Share a candle-lit dinner with seasonal treats like roasted butternut squash and pumpkin cheesecake. They say fear is the ultimate aphrodisiac so let your imaginations run wild!
• Go dancing. A lot of clubs have special events planned for Halloween fun either on the night of Halloween or the following weekend. This is a great chance to go out with a group of friends, dress up incognito and cut loose. Go ahead—let it all hang out!
• Go out on the town. Find a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show or some other interactive production where the audience gets involved. You’ll have a blast getting dressed up and acting crazy. Or, find a haunted house to tour with your friends. Most cities have several of these attractions set up in different locations during the month of October; and they are full of cool special effects and surprises that will get your heart pumping.
• Host a murder. These interactive games allow you and your guests to role play a murder mystery at home, bringing the fun and suspense of classic thriller movies and books to life. You can buy kits to help you plan a murder party—including instructions and invitations to make the entire process simple.

Halloween is fun for all ages—not just little kids dressed up superheros. It doesn’t just have to be about mini-chocolate bars and cheesy witch costumes. Even if you’re the type who tends to be reserved in your everyday life, most people agree that Halloween is the one time of year when you can live out your fantasies, and let go of your inhibitions.
