Has it been awhile since you and your sweetie had some quality alone time together? Are the every day stresses of work and family responsibilities starting to get to you? If so, you may want to start thinking about romantic getaways for just the two of you. Now, you may think romantic getaways are just not in your budget but there are plenty of romantic getaways that can be budget friendly. You don’t have to go to Europe for a month, though it would be nice. Instead you can do weekend romantic getaways or you can even slip away somewhere for just an evening.
For those lucky enough to be able to afford vacations where the sky’s the limit, your possibilities are endless. There are many destinations that are known because of the ambiance and many things to do and see. In the United States, Florida, New York, Las Vegas and Colorado are all wonderful destinations. Hawaii though is probably the most famous of the US romantic getaways. Outside the United States there is Mexico, the Caribbean, Italy, Spain, Greece and of course Paris. What couple wouldn’t love to be whisked away for romantic getaways at any of those destinations?
Romantic getaways to those destinations may be out of your price range now but it may be wise to start saving for one of them as an anniversary surprise. You can start a vacation fund and filter away a little each month. If your sanity simply can’t wait to have a few romantic getaways, though, there are ways to get some alone time on a budget. Instead of grand thinking, look a little closer to home and think on a smaller scale. Get out your map and get on the Internet and look for small towns within driving distance in your area. Going to a quaint town where you stay at a bed and breakfast for the weekend can be utterly refreshing and romantic.
Even if you don’t drive anywhere out of your city, consider romantic getaways to a luxury hotel in your area. You can drive a short distance and experience the ambiance of a high class resort or hotel with all the amenities. Have a his and hers massage and order room service while basking in the luxury. Have a drink in the lounge or hang out by the pool. You can pamper yourselves and not have to shell out as much money for romantic getaways as you would to travel somewhere.
