There is a definite art to flirting and it does take some practice to perfect it. You should practice your flirting skills and use some of the tops below to get better at it. When you practice long enough, you will get the hang of flirting and it will come naturally. Being natural in your flirting style is the difference between having flirting work for you and having it work against you.

* Flirting should come naturally, not look forced. Don’t use cheesy pick up lines or affectations you think are flirtatious. Instead, be comfortable with the process and sincere. This will go along way in ensuring you are flirting effectively as opposed to looking silly.

* Touch the person you are flirting with. A hand on the arm or leg while you are talking will show your interest and desire to be closer to them.

* Make eye contact when you are talking. Don’t stare in a manner that will make the other person think you are creepy but make direct eye contact then look away then meet their eyes again. Make it natural.

* Smile and laugh. If you show that you are enjoying the conversation and company, this is a great indicator that you are interested.

* Listen to the other person and ask questions. Don’t act like you are interrogating them but ask follow up questions to show you are listening to what they say and are interested enough to want to hear more. Likewise, you should have interesting things to say.

* Don’t give away too much. Have a bit of an air of mystery about you. You want a follow up date and you want to entice the other person. You don’t want to spill everything in the first few minutes so there’s nothing more to discover.

Flirting is fun when done correctly but can be incredibly uncomfortable…for both of you…when it goes horribly wrong. Take some time to practice your flirting skills. As with any other skill, practice makes perfect. When you have your technique down pat, you will feel a lot more comfortable with the process and will see positive results. Keep in mind to act naturally and not force it. Use some of the tips above to help you get started on becoming a better flirt.
