I think the biggest reason for so many failed marriages is quite simple! People (mostly women) get so into the fantasies of marriage that they end up getting married too soon to someone they haven't been with long enough,do not know well enough and should have probably never married to begin. People are getting married like it's going out of style and getting divorced just as fast.

Not all failed relationships are because two people "rushed into" it. Relationships/marriages are hard work. It takes two people who want to put forth the effort to make it work. One or the other is not enough. When only one partner is working at the relationship, it falls tragically short.

I think you have to work at marriage every day and a lot of people don't realize that. You can never take your partner for granted and it has to be a give and take relationship. Also I think a lot of people get married without really knowing themselves or their partner and over time they grow apart.

Because a lot of people go only for the looks and the money. both money and looks change leading to changing attitudes within relationships and marriages.

Rushing into it and also because most people tent to "get bored" ... this is why most couples need to do more together and do things and have fun being with each other.

Those involved didn't do anything to keep it strong, interesting and enjoyable. They met, fell in lust, got married and then lived life and never tended to their marriage / relation.

Relationships fail because of the "c" word which is compatibility. Oftentimes two people get in a relationship where they have absolutely nothing in common except maybe physical attraction.

Most relationships fail as people have less and less time for each other. Lives are getting complicated only time time for indivisual "ME" is left no time for US.
