When I got married, we wanted to use wildflowers for the bouquets and centerpieces. I mentioned it to my mom in the very early stages of planning. She got together with my grandmother and my aunt, and they each made a wedding garden at their house. When the time came we went out and cut them fresh, and they were wonderful (and quite nice on the budget!).
I guess you need to live in the right area, and get married at the right time of the year for it to work. But, it may work for someone.

I love this idea! This way you can make sure that you get the flowers you like, plus you can save big $$$! Thanks for sharing it! Sure, it would be a bit challenging to carry this out in let's say, Alaska, but still could work for many of us.

I have 2 picks: roses or orchids. I love roses, I think I would choose a special blue rose bouquet.(this way the problem of 'something blue' is also solved) My other favorite flower is orchid, because it's so exotic. I think it depends on the budget which one I'd choose:) First of all I need someone to marry me, haven't gotten there yet
