Is age just a number? or does it really matter in the long run?
I have been seeing a woman about 13 years older then me. Life is good right now, but I have been starting to think about the future and wondering if we will be compatible in 10 years, 20 years or 30 years?
Any input would be appreciated.

I'm 5 years older than my partner and I don't think it makes a difference at all. Real love is so hard to find these days that it totally takes the age difference out of the equation for me. Before Shawn, I dated someone that was 15 years older and although from time to time the thought did cross my mind about when I'm 60 how will this work but you know what, to me, it is so much more important to find that life partner you can share everything with than worrying about an age difference. it's good to hear that a relationship can work when a woman is older than the man. I had a boyfriend, but he broke up with me - he said it really bothered him that I was 2 and a half year older. Maybe it was just a reason he made up not wanting to admit that it does not work for him - God knows why. It really hurt me, because I did not feel older than he was - he looked older. So what do you think? It's really difficult for me since to date a younger guy, but I'm not into dating 10 or 15 years older men either...

I think that no matter what...you'll probably never know the true reason whether it really was age or not and your mind can definitely play tricks on you trying to figure it out. If you really want to find that true love you have to get past your fears and date someone that your gut tells you is right for you, regardless of age. I still think that age is totally unimportant...finding that person you can share your hopes and dreams with IS important. Take a leap of faith and let go of the age issue and maybe that someone you've been waiting for is right around the corner!
